Thanks to all your responses. Checked the plug, seemed to be clean and the right color. I believe in starting with the easiest things first. Took the bike out today, it started to get a little jerky so I switched the fuel valve to "prime". It smoothed right out and didn't stall or hesitate the rest of the ride. I have the fuel cap up side down now with WD-40 on it. Tomorrow, I'll try the fuel valve in the normal down position and see if cleaning the fuel cap did any good. I really appreciate all the help, this forum is a great resource to all of us not as knowledgeable as you people. If it is the fuel valve, is there any reason I can't run it on "prime" all the time? I realize I won't have a reserve tank that way but will it harm anything else? Thanks again.
